Introducing Alison from Lincoln & THE CONNECTION

There is something very powerful about simply bringing people together.
I’m Alison, founder of THE CONNECTION 🤍✨ a growing community bringing people together to MEET · TALK · CONNECT.
The idea grew from something very simple: so many of us would like to meet more people, have better conversations, develop new friendships & make meaningful connections, yet there are surprisingly few relaxed ways for those connections to happen naturally.
THE CONNECTION is about bringing people together & giving those conversations somewhere to begin.
THE CONNECTION encompasses THE CONNECTION | DINING, THE CONNECTION | HOUR & THE CONNECTION | RETREATS.
THE CONNECTION | DINING
THE CONNECTION | DINING brings small groups of people together around thoughtfully hosted tables in lovely restaurants.
Guests enjoy good food, conversation & the opportunity to meet people whose paths they may not otherwise have crossed.
You’re very welcome to join us at the table on your own, or bring a friend.
The vision is to bring THE CONNECTION tables to different locations, giving more people the opportunity to meet, talk & connect.
The dinner provides the setting.
The connection is the reason people come.
THE CONNECTION | HOUR
THE CONNECTION | HOUR brings people together virtually through a relaxed, hosted video call designed to encourage meaningful conversation & genuine human connection.
It’s an opportunity to meet people from different places, share experiences, enjoy thoughtful conversation & form connections that may continue well beyond the hour itself.
The conversations can be surprisingly powerful, showing just how meaningful connection can be when people are given the time & space to really talk.
THE CONNECTION | HOUR enables people to become part of THE CONNECTION wherever they are.
THE CONNECTION | RETREATS
THE CONNECTION | RETREATS will offer beautifully curated retreats where people can step away from everyday life, spend meaningful time together & form meaningful connections through shared experiences.
Bringing people together through conversation, food & carefully curated experiences in beautiful locations, the retreats will provide space for people not only to meet & really get to know one another, but also to reconnect with themselves & the people around them.
THE CONNECTION | RETREATS will take place in the UK & internationally.
CONNECTION AT EVERY STAGE OF LIFE
There is a natural crossover between the RentaSenior & THE CONNECTION communities.
Both bring people together, encourage participation & recognise the value of people, their experiences & the connections that can grow when we give ourselves the opportunity to meet.
Connection matters throughout our lives.
Sometimes it becomes friendship.
Sometimes we discover somebody with shared interests.
Sometimes a conversation leads to a business opportunity, collaboration, support or a completely unexpected introduction.
And sometimes it is simply the pleasure of having a really enjoyable conversation with somebody whose path we may otherwise never have crossed.
What matters is giving that first conversation the opportunity to happen.
That is what THE CONNECTION is all about.
